Mueller Installed as TWBA President

Native Toledoan Denise A. Mueller, an associate of the Firm, is the incoming president of the Toledo Women's Bar Association for 2008-2009. TWBA provides professional support to members through substantive monthly meetings, a quarterly newsletter, mentoring and continuing legal education seminars. Further, the TWBA promotes women in the law through collaborative activities with women in law school and networking activities such as the annual Salute to the Judiciary. (Eastman & Smith will be hosting the Salute for the third consecutive year.) Currently, TWBA has 160 members. In addition to TWBA, Ms. Mueller is the vice-president of the Parkinson's Foundation of Northwest Ohio, former Ohio Women's Bar Association trustee (2005-2008) and serves, through June 2008, as chairperson of the Toledo Bar Association's Municipal Courts Committee.

Prior to joining Eastman & Smith, Ms. Mueller was employed by Student Legal Services, a non-profit general practice firm for exclusive use of University of Toledo students. Her practice at Eastman & Smith concentrates on general litigation, OVI, traffic/criminal misdemeanor defense and landlord/tenant real estate litigation. Ms. Mueller earned both her law and undergraduate degrees from the University of Toledo. The Firm congratulates Ms. Mueller on her election.
